My Baby Girl's Sweet 16

Some where along the lines I did something right!
My daughter is a thoughtful sweet young lady who wanted to spend her special birthday with just a few close friends and family. Her favorite place is Dominick's Little Italy on the square in Lawrenceville.
We had a great time sampling all the dishes to pick out for the menu. It was hard to narrow to just 4 choices but we picked Dominick's Ravioli (Ariana's favorite), Spicy chicken and sausage casserole, Lasagna and Chicken Saltimbocca (my favorite).
She managed to get her several family members here for the occasion. Flights from NYC and Colorado were made. Trips up from Savannah and Hilton Head and trips down from Williamsburg, VA were also driven. Friends came together (some even in ties!) It was a feat to pull off but who can turn down a teenager who would rather have a nice dinner with her family and close friends than have a cheesy MTV party!
I cannot be prouder to be her mother.
She is sweet. She is smart. She is hard working. She is loving. She is a great Big sister to both of her siblings. She is a great babysitter. She can bake and cook. She can ski and run.
She is absolutely beautiful.
She is what keeps me whole. She is my savior.
She is my daughter and I love her.

Nannis Family Photos

It took a little rescheduling due to inclement weather but when a window of perfect weather opened we jumped at the chance to capture Jack in all his cuteness.

One Gorgeous Family!

Tim, Heather, Payton and Addison were a joy to work with.
These 2 kids are just adorable and I truly had one of the best times shooting their pictures.

I have to say... it was no work at all!

Poole Family Portraits

I have known Monica and Donnie for 9 1/2 years and recently had the pleasure of taking their family portraits. This is a family truly filled with love.

Falling Leaves

 To Autumn by William Blake

O Autumn, laden with fruit, and stain'd

With the blood of the grape, pass not, but sit

Beneath my shady roof; there thou may'st rest,

And tune thy jolly voice to my fresh pipe,

And all the daughters of the year shall dance!

Sing now the lusty song of fruits and flowers.

'The narrow bud opens her beauties to

The sun, and love runs in her thrilling veins;

Blossoms hang round the brows of Morning, and

Flourish down the bright cheek of modest Eve,

Till clust'ring Summer breaks forth into singing,

And feather'd clouds strew flowers round her head.

'The spirits of the air live in the smells

Of fruit; and Joy, with pinions light, roves round

The gardens, or sits singing in the trees.'

Thus sang the jolly Autumn as he sat,

Then rose, girded himself, and o'er the bleak

Hills fled from our sight; but left his golden load.

My Little Indian

My son's Pre-K class put on a little Thanksgiving Play and Luncheon. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. I just had to share!
 Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

The Annual Cabbagetown Chilli Cook off

We missed out on the Chilli, as you have to get there at 10 am to even think about tasting any. We did however get to see some friends, some great local artists and listen to some local blue grass and indie bands.
Will be back again next year (and get there early enough for some chilli!)

Day of the Dead

The Day of the Dead show is a must see annual Atlanta tradition. Held at Young Blood Gallery now through Nov. 27 in Little 5 Points. My husband and I both have a coffin in the show as do friends and many new friends we have made along the way. This has been one of the most fun shows I have ever been involved in.

Opening Night was a huge success! The band kicked ass, the Good Food truck was there to share all the yummy goodness all around. Drinks were pouring and good times were had by all.

Incredible Art to been seen!
